Yesterday, at function to celebrate Rajaya Sabha MP Palvai Govardhan 50 years of married life, the Congress in-charge for Andhra Pradesh answered questions about AP politics in his own humorous way. When asked if there would be a leadership change for AP congress, Ravi initially said these private functions should not be used to discuss political issues but then said that the one thing he could say for sure was that because he was a Keralite, he had no chance of being the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister.
He also brushed aside news of increasing rift between the CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and Central Minister Jaipal Reddy saying first he did not know of any dispute and then adding that there was nothing he could do if there was difference of opinion between the two leaders. He said Jaipal Reddy might be speaking for his Ministry while Kiran was speaking for his state and so the differences arose.
Ravi is again expected to come to the state on the 16th of this month. He said he would go to Delhi for the Parliament sessions and that discussions would be held in the state on how to strengthen the congress after he returns to the state.
