On a day when the CBI Judge accused in the Gali Janardhan Reddy’s bail scam was arrested by ACB officials, a number of interesting changes took place in the CBI courts. The State High Court took note of the way another CBI judge Naga Maruti Sharma issued bail to BP Acharya and transferred him to a different court. BP Acharya is an IAS officer accused in the Emmar and Jagan illegal assets case. Naga Maruti Sharma has been transferred to the court dealing with the Jubliee Hills Car Bomb case.

BP Acharya was granted bail without even seeking bail by Judge Naga Maruti Sharma and this came under the scrutiny of the High Court administrative committee. There were some rumblings that Judge Sharma might be involved in the Bail For Sale Scam but as there was no evidence for this no action was taken.

Judge Pullayya, who has till now been incharge of the main CBI Court has been transferred to the 1st Additional CBI Court. Judge Durga Prasad has been appointed in place of Pullayya and Judge MV Ramesh has been appointed to the 2nd Additional CBI Court.

Pattibhi Ramarao on the other hand is now an undertrail prisoner under the number 5834.
