Pakistani media is today reporting that Sarabjit Singh, the Indian on death row in Pakistan for the last 22 years now is set to finally be released. President Asif Ali Zardari has supposedly signed an order for his release. Sarabjit was convicted in the 1990 serial bomb blasts in Lahore and Multan that killed 14 people.

Sarabjit’s family, the Indian government and a number of concerned Pakistani’s have been asking for Sarabjit’s release believing him to be innocent while some others have been campaigning for a mercy petition.
