When asked by a PTI correspondent about a Congress – YSRC merger in the future, the YSRC honorary President YS Vijayalakshmi not just did not deny this but said “only time would tell”. She also said that their party would for sure not tie up with a communal party like the BJP. This added fuel to TDP’s allegation that the KVP book release drama and the reinstating of YSR as a “Great” Congress leader were only the first steps towards reconciliation between the YSRC and the Congress and that the High Command was all set to weaken the case against Jagan in return for political support from YSRC.

Almost immediately after these comments were published by PTI, YSRC leaders swung into action and began alleging that Vijayamma did not make those  comments and tried to smear PTI just as they are used to with all Telugu Media channels and newspapers. They said it was shameful and unfortunate that a prestigious firm like PTI would spread “lies”. However PTI now has released the tape of Vijayalakshmi making these comments and lies of YSRC stand exposed once again.
