India won the Benguluru test to take a 2-0 lead in the series against New Zealand. Skipper MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli steered India to victory with 5 wickets still in hand. Rain disrupted the match giving New Zealand hope when India was 88 for 2 in the second innings with Pujara batting at 10 with Saching Tendulkar who was yet to make any runs. The dismissals of Pujara, Sachin, and Raina after the commencement of the match has put some pressure on India. But Dhoni and Virat came to the rescue and guided the Indian side towards victory.
Earlier Newzeland made 365 in the first inningings while India made 353. The Kiwi batsmen were however less successful in the second innings making only 248. Franklin made 41 while Aswin’s 5 wicket hall managed to halt the batsmen.
