Rajya Sabha Congress member V. Hanumantha Rao is currently on a “mouna deeksha” (silent protest) at Congress party office Gandhi Bhavan today. Demanding a brain stroming session to set the party on the right course, he is expressing deep disappointment at the state of the party affiars. VH is also demanding that  vacant posts of corporation chief and party executive and other nominated posts should be filled up immediately.

However VH’s comments that CM Kiran was acting like a covert of Jagan Mohan Reddy have not gone down well with other leaders. Kiran loyalists like Malladi Vishnu haven sent letters to the High Command finding fault with VH’s protest and more importantly his comments. They argue that with VH having special access to High Command, the entire protest is farcical and whatever opinions and comments he have can easily be conveyed to the Party without resorting to protests like this.
